Tribal legend stones are large rocks covered with red and blue symbols, which have been painted by the tribal people. The blue symbol represents a legend, while the red symbols is the written language describing a clue or warning. Jake is able to read and translate this written text.
Legend stones can be found in a numbers of locations around the rain forest, including places such as caves. The scriptures are usually found written on large smooth rocks or boulders. Some are surrounded by smaller rocks, creating a small pool of water. While others can be found painted directly on stone walls.
These stones can be found in survival game mode, however the player will only be able to interact with them while in SoA game mode. When the player finds a legend stone its location will be marked on the map with the 
icon. Hold E to read the legend stone. The translated text will then be logged in the second tab of the players notebook, under its relevant legend page. The player will be required to read all legend stones and decipher the clues to complete the legend quest actions.
