The empty can is an material which was added in update V.0.5.0 to Green Hell. Empty cans do not despawn.
Basic Info
Empty cans can be melted down using the mud forge to produce melted iron ore. The melted iron ore are used in the Pottery Table or combined with molds to craft a number of tools and weapons.
Empty cans are the result of consuming tinned food. Cans that have already been opened can also found in a number of locations. There are two different sized cans, small and large. The weight of the cans is the same, but the large empty can takes up slightly more space in the backpack.
