The Goliath Birdeater Spider is a species of aggressive animal in Green Hell. They are a source of protein.
Basic Info
Goliath Birdeater Spider can be found in the forest area's in the rainforest. They are quite small and make a distinctive sound. If they are not moving then they are quite hard to spot.
They can be hunted preferably with a ranged weapon or by throwing rocks at them by pressing G
. They can also be caught by using small traps.
When bitten by a Goliath Birdeater Spider the player will receive a venom wound and fever.
Harvest
The Goliath Birdeater Spider can not be harvested.
Once dead, the Goliath Birdeater Spider can be Picked up and placed in the backpack by pressing E
. The Goliath Birdeater Spider body can be cooked on a fire and eaten.
When left to burn on the fire it will turn into Goliath Birdeater Ash which can be used to make Goliath Dressing to treat wounds and infection.
Trivia
If the Goliath Birdeater Spider is eaten after it has been cooked it will lower your sanity but provides a little bit of protein.
