Radio Challenge is a game mode added in V.0.4.0 to Green Hell

Basic Info

The Radio Challenge requires the player to find and collect a working walkie-talkie within a 3 day time limit. The player will begin the game with basic starter blueprints and will need to gather materials in order to craft weapons and tools.

The player will need to find each part needed to make the working walkie-talkie. The coordinates of each item required are shown at the top left of the screen.

Radio Challenge tests the players survival and combat skills in order to track down and recover the walkie-talkie from the natives.

Once the working walkie-talkie has been collected, the Radio Challenge will be completed.

Tips

• This challenge can be done in less than a day. You essentially just have to clear two native camps.
• You start near the Overturned Jeep, directly southeast from the starting point. You can find the Bidon and food there if you need to replenish your health later.
• The safest approach is to craft a Bow. If you find a dead bird, harvest it and craft arrows. A single headshot will take down natives.
• If you cannot make arrows, craft Weak Spears from a single long branch and use it as a throwing weapon. Again, a single headshot will suffice.
• You can fight with melee weapons but expect to take a lot of damage unless you have armor. You can throw melee weapons to be safer.
• You can craft Stick Armor easily at the beginning, and Bone Armor if you hunt a few animals.
• Bandages or collected Rainforest Ants can help (particularly for bleeding), but if you are wounded after the first camp, you can run to the second camp and finish the challenge before your wounds are infected.
