Sanity is a stat in Green Hell.
Basic Info[ | ]
Sanity maintains a big role in your survival in Green Hell. You start with 100% which is the max value, and 0% being the lowest value. Certain actions will raise or lower it.
Loss of Sanity will cause the player to start hearing his inner voice, often yelling demotivating criticism and insults. This happens at around 50% sanity.
When the player reaches 0% sanity, the screen will darken and have a reddish hue. The player will start to experience hallucinations of natives. These hallucinations will look and act like regular natives, however, they will disappear into a reddish cloud upon taking damage. The player can receive damage from hallucinations causing wounds. Sometimes damage taken by the player will not leave a wound if the player kills the hallucinations.
The player will also see hallucinations of items. Like the hallucinations of natives, they disappear into a yellowish cloud when picked up.
